Business Administration

Graduates of the Business Administration program may find employment in accounting, banking, computing, finance, real estate, insurance, purchasing, marketing and many other management training positions from medium to large corporations and even in small business entrepreneurships.

The one-year certificate in Business Administration is designed to provide working and part-time students with fundamental business principles. The certificate also helps provide the foundation to several professional designations.
The first year of the diploma program for Business Administration is predominately a core program and designed to allow students to access to all three majors.
All students entering the Business Administration Diploma program are required to take the following first semester of studies

(see below).
The second year provides the opportunity to attain recognized qualification in specialized areas such as accounting, general management, and marketing.
Most courses are offered during the daytime and are generally taken by fulltime students.
A Business Administration diploma graduate can receive two years of credit towards a Commerce degree.
The following institutions have Two Year Block Transfer arrangements with the College of the Rockies whereby completion of a two year Business Administration diploma gains entrance to the third year of a four-year Commerce/ Business Administration Bachelor’s program.

4. Royal Roads University
5. Athabasca University
6. BC University Colleges
All BC University Colleges, except the University College of the Cariboo, allow two years of credit for a two-year Business Administration diploma.
