Established in 1967 as one of the Ontario Government's Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology, Conestoga College is located in Canada's "Technology Triangle", embracing the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. These cities, with a combined population of 500,000, make up a growing, dynamic community where advanced technology is complemented by state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and a vibrant service industry.
Conestoga College grants three and two year diplomas and one year certificates. There are over 5,000 full-time students and 33,000 part-time students enrolled in one of more than sixty career-related, skills-oriented programs. Conestoga College has a respected reputation for academic excellence and is considered one of the leading colleges in Ontario and Canada. Our programs in Engineering Technology, Business and Business Administration, Information Technology, Communications and Media, Health Sciences, Community Services and the skilled trades are well recognized and graduates are in demand by local and international companies.
Conestoga is large enough to be exciting and offer its students choice and opportunity, and small enough to make everyone feel comfortable and at home.
Conestoga is situated in one of Ontario's beautiful landscapes featuring a wonderful mixture of forests, rolling hills, rugged wilderness and scenic farmland. The main campus of 144 lush acres is located 120 kilometres west of Toronto and 150 kilometres from Niagara Falls and the USA.
Good shopping, excellent food and restaurants, colourful festivals and fairs and a Germanic heritage make the region a highly attractive destination. In the summer and fall there is the music at the Elora Festival, the Theatre at the famous Shakespearean Festival in Stratford, the skirling bagpipes at the Cambridge Highland Games, the fun and food at Oktoberfest in Kitchener/Waterloo and the ever appealing farmers' market at St. Jacobs. There are art galleries, museums, and music and theatrical entertainment at Kitchener's Centre in the Square. Winter brings skiing, skating, hockey and other outdoor sports.
