From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, the girls and young women of Branksome Hall are passionate learners and leaders. Ours is a community of inquirers — of knowledgeable, principled students and skilled, caring teachers. Graduates proceed to universities worldwide, many as scholarship recipients.
An International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, Branksome Hall is committed to a liberal arts curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking and values diverse perspectives. We offer academic and social support to all students at every stage, and balance classroom life with a variety of clubs, and athletic, artistic and leadership development activities. Our international and local community service projects engage every student and are a model for schools across Canada.
Located on a leafy 13-acre campus in the heart of the Toronto, Branksome features expansive playing fields, a performing arts centre, two large gyms, a fitness centre, a rock-climbing wall, new science labs and other features that help girls thrive.
Approximately 860 students attend Branksome Hall: 260 in the Junior School, from JK to Grade 6; 165 in the Middle School, Grades 7 and 8; and 435 in the Senior School, Grades 9 to 12. Our residential program, for Grades 8 through 12, includes 67 students, who hail from 13 countries.
We are a welcoming community, grounded in 106 years of tradition and actively supported by alumnae worldwide. Our students are encouraged to become women of confidence and compassion, ready to shape their future in our changing world.
