International Transition Years Program -- Lambton College

Study High School in Canada
Lambton College and the Lambton Kent District School Board, two non-profit public organizations, have partnered together to provide a unique high school program for international students wishing to study in Canada. The partnership provides educational services to more than 28,000 students in 68 elementary, secondary and post secondary schools ranging in size from 100 to 2600 students in the immediate area.
International students enrolled in this program can obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This is an important requirement for entrance into a Canadian university or college. Students take high school courses and English courses at Lambton College in a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment. Students also have a choice of multiple locations to complete their final year of specialized high school courses within the Lambton College / Lambton Kent District School Board partnership.

A Home -- Away -- from Home
Lambton College always strives to make its international students feel at home in Ontario. Besides being provided with academic support, students will also have the opportunity to stay with people in the community who open their homes to international students.
Student’ individual needs are identified and addressed. Everything will be taken care of from access to health and hospital insurance plans to the opportunity to live in a residential facility with a fully furnished room and an option to have meals provided.
An orientation program introduces international students to the college and the community and assistance is provided with visa applications or temporary work permits. For those students who would like help with their studies, peer tutors are also available.
Non-academic activities such as, day trips to Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ottawa will provide the student with the opportunity to explore Ontario and spend time with fellow students.
