ESL Summer Camp
The Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP) offers English instruction to junior and senior high students in an ESL summer camp. English instruction is offered each weekday morning (Monday to Friday) for three hours. Qualified ESL teachers lead the classes with each class being interactive to give students the opportunity to improve both verbal and written English.
The ESL camp is held on a local university campus in the city of Truro, and is located in a quiet area of the community and within walking distance to many amenities. The camp is offered to students aged 13-18 and is available in July and August.
Each campus has access to excellent facilities including a swimming pool, sports facilities, outdoor recreation space, dining room and residence with common rooms. Rooms are shared by two students per room.
The camp offers students the opportunity to take part in cultural and sports activities such as volleyball, soccer, softball and swimming. A number of tours and excursions are also offered so that students may learn about Nova Scotia's unique history and culture.
