Columbia College students who have satisfactorily completed 60 credits of specified first and second year courses in Arts or Sciences may qualify for an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science Degree. This credential is awarded after two years of study, and may appeal to students who prefer not to complete a four-year degree, as well as to those who plan to do so in future. British Columbia universities guarantee 60 transfer credits toward a full baccalaureate degree when the holder is admitted to a B.C. university. Furthermore, some universities give admission priority to holders of Associate Degrees.
