The students who have already attended Bond International College have an impressive academic achievement record. Most of our graduates are accepted to study at the university or college level. As the Ontario Ministry of Education states, \"The new Ontario curriculum establishes high, internationally competitive standards of education for secondary school students across the province. The curriculum has been designed with the goal of ensuring that graduates from Ontario secondary schools are well prepared to lead satisfying and productive lives as both citizens and individuals, and to compete successfully in a global economy and a rapidly changing world.\"
The Ontario Ministry of Education requirements for students to achieve a high school diploma are set out by regulations, which all schools in Ontario must follow. The staff members at Bond College carefully develop and follow the courses of study as set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education regulations. The teaching staff at Bond College educates our students in university preparation courses and university/college preparation courses in the final two years of study. These courses are designed to furnish students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the regulations of the Ministry of
Education as well as the entrance requirements for programs, which are offered at universities and colleges.
There are a number of counselors who are available to discuss personal and educational goals with students. All staff members at Bond endeavour to meet not only the educational the needs of our students, but to also provide them with a well-rounded support system of dedicated staff members.
English as a Second Language (ESL): Programme Rationale · Descripción en inglésDocumento histórico

Upon arrival at Bond International College, students take In English Placement Test. The results of this test will determine the students’ knowledge of the English language, based on the following skills: grammar, reading/vocabulary, listening and writing. An oral test is also a component of the Placement Test. Students will be placed into classes according to the levels indicated on their Placement Test.
Bond\'s unique ESL programme, is based on the Ontario Secondary School
Curriculum, and also caters specifically to the students\' learning needs. Students progress through five levels of ESL before graduating into the academic programme. Each level of ESL, has five skill strands: grammar reading and vocabulary, listening, writing and conversation. These strands act independently of each other, so that the educational plan
for every Bond student is individualized. For instance, a student who excels in listening may struggle with grammar. This student would be placed in a higher level for listening, but a lower level in grammar in which particular salient learning strategies would become an area of focus.
Each ESL semester is an intensive 22-day, six hours per day semester. In this way, students are immersed in English and with appropriate studying, acquire the necessary skills, quickly and efficiently, in order to meet with success in the Academic programme.

Bond International College invites you to visit Canada with us for an exciting educational
and cultural experience. During our English as a Second Language (ESL) Camp you will
meet many new people and visit several different places. Toronto is a fascinating city.
Canadians, who originally came from many other countries, have decided to live in this
multicultural city.
At camp, you will enjoy many opportunities to learn and practice English, within the
camp, while attending educational excursions, and meeting new friends. This program is
nm all year around so that we are able to customize a program to meet the needs of any
group.
The ESL curriculum teaches English which students can use the same day because it
focuses on using English for everyday life experiences. There are five hours of
instruction daily, delivered by native English speaking teachers; computer based ESL
programs; creative evening activities; interactions with peers and adults, both within the
program and in the city.
Safety is a major concern. We take this very seriously and coordinate residence needs,
staffing and the activities with this aspect of the program, as a priority.
Some of the educational excursions taken, may include visits to the Ontario Science
Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum, the CN Tower, Queen\'s Park (the site of the Ontario
Legislature), plus activities such as swimming or soccer (or other sports) in the summer,
and skating or skiing in the winter.
We look forward to meeting you in Toronto!
