4th Young Achievers Summer Program 2005
Canadian Education Centre – Hong Kong is pleased to present our 4th YOUNG Achievers Summer PROGRAM 2005, a 3-week program co-organised with Gulf Islands Secondary School, a public school district in Saltspring Island, British Columbia with a dedication to academic excellence and innovation. The program will be run in Saltspring Island, Victoria and Vancouver in Canada.
At YOUNG Achievers Summer PROGRAM, our future leaders have an opportunity to learn and practice their leadership and creativity skills. They are asked to work on networking, building teams, conducting public speaking and discovering what leadership means to them.
Our young leaders will have the opportunity to improve their ability in the following areas: Problem Solving, Decision Making, Communication Skills (Listening, Speaking and Writing), Team & Trust Building, Assertiveness, Networking, Public Speaking and Creativity Skills. Combine all of this with meetings with experts, visits to museums, trips to Victoria and Vancouver, sports tournaments and interactive activities with native Canadians. We believe that their experience will enable them to be effective student leaders, no matter what their role within their school, family or community.
The youth will be divided into small groups of 6 - 8 students. Each group is led by a certified counsellor. Staff members for the program have been carefully selected for their qualifications, experience and enthusiasm. They are all dedicated and passionate members with the gift to inspire our young leaders.
We are looking for young leaders who are 12 to 17, motivated and have a good level of English. All applicants will be invited to attend a selection interview and 30 students will be selected for the program. Program fee is around HK $ 28,000 which covers all classes, activities, outings, homestay accommodation, medical insurance, air travel and airport pickup and drop-off.
