UQAM awards its Medal to two architects of the CEMBA, marking 30+ years of partnership with WSE
On 13 October 2026, UQAM presented its Médaille to Grażyna Aniszewska‑Banaś and Marek P. Gruszczyński in recognition of their pivotal roles in the 30+‑year partnership between ESG UQAM and the Warsaw School of Economics and in the success of the joint Canadian Executive MBA (CEMBA).
The ceremony, held at the Warsaw School of Economics during its 120th anniversary, highlighted both scholars’ contributions to the long‑standing collaboration. Grażyna Aniszewska‑Banaś has led the CEMBA since 2013, overseeing operations and program quality; Marek P. Gruszczyński, a noted econometrician, directed the CEMBA in 2002–2006 and 2008–2012 and helped secure AMBA and EPAS accreditations. The event also included three honorary doctorates and the Décadra prize.
