Camosun College is pleased to promote two exciting programs this coming summer.

1. Summer at Camosun - The Summer at Camosun program is for students 18 years and older who want to enjoy studying English, living with a Canadian host, and exploring this great city, Victoria, British Columbia.

Summer at Camosun students focus on English language communication skills.  Students will benefit from scheduled one-on-one conversation time with native speakers each week, as well as scheduled "Applying your English" fieldtrips.  Occasional afternoons offer students the opportunity to independently explore Victoria and Southern Vancouver Island.  Come sample summer life in Victoria!

Summer at Camosun students are able to choose to live on their own with a Canadian host or pair up and share a room with a friend.  Students will enjoy Canadian breakfasts, bag lunches and suppers every day and learn about Canadian lifestyles from their hosts.  What better way to have fun, and improve your English and knowledge of Canada?

Summer at Camosun is offered 3 times:

• July 17 - August 4      - 3 week program - C$2,309.00
• July 17 - 28    - 2 week program - C$1,581.00
• July 24 - August 4      - 2 week program - C$1,581.00

These rates include homestay but rates without homestay are also available.  For further information, please contact:

2.  Quickstart - The Quickstart program will be helpful to anyone interested in practicing their academic writing and comprehension skills before entering regular courses or for those keen on assessing and improving their current English competency level.

Quickstart students will experience a Canadian classroom, prepare for academic studies at Camosun College and become familiar with the services of Camosun College International.

All Quickstart students will be able to take an ESL assessment test at the end of their program. This assessment will let them know what level of English they can study next, or if they are ready for direct entry to our academic programs.

Quickstart is open to students at all levels, and is available from July 4 - August 18, 2006. Quickstart costs $1,995 for seven weeks of study.
