Brock nursing professor expands international partnerships, unveils AI micro‑credential and immersive simulation
From July 14 to Aug. 28, a Brock nursing professor used Canada’s Faculty Mobility program to strengthen ties with Brazilian partners, present a five‑day workshop and demonstrate Brock’s Code Orange 360° VR simulation on Meta Quest. She is part of a team developing an AI tool for organ‑donation coordination and launching the micro‑credential Leading AI Integration in Nursing Education.
Associate Professor Vanessa Silva e Silva (Brock University School of Nursing) traveled to Brazil from July 14 to Aug. 28 under the Government of Canada’s Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program. She delivered lectures, co‑led a five‑day international workshop, and worked with the Federal University of São Paulo and Albert Einstein Hospital. Brock showcased its Code Orange 360° immersive simulation on a Meta Quest headset. The team is developing an AI tool for organ‑donation coordinators and will offer the micro‑credential Leading AI Integration in Nursing Education through Brock Professional and Continuing Studies.
