Application for a Study Permit - A Step by Step Guide
 


APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR A STUDY PERMIT:

Your should submit your completed application forms and required documentation to the High Commission of Canada (HCC) from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 11:30am; Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

All documents (with the exception of Malaysian birth/marriage certificates) should be in English or French.

 4.

After submission of your completed application and documents, the HCC will notify you by email if additional documents or an interview is required. 

 5.

When your application has been processed, HCC will email you to let you know if a medical examination is required and to collect the medical examination form.

 6.

Upon receiving the medical form, you are advised to proceed immediately with your medical check-up. On completing your medical check-up, please instruct the clinic to courier (not post) the medical report.

 7.

Once your medical report has been cleared, the HCC will email you for the final step of submitting your original passport and any previously used passport.

 8.

Students choosing to study in the province of Quebec, will be required to apply for the 'Certificat d' Acceptation du Quebec' (CAQ) before applying for the Study Permit.
