Application to renew a Study Permit - A Step by Step Guide
APPLICATION PROCEDURE TO RENEW A STUDY PERMIT:
1.
Malaysian students should apply at least 1 week before their planned date of departure to Canada.
2.
Your should submit your completed application forms and required documentation to the High Commission of Canada (HCC) from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 11:30am; Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
3.
All documents (with the exception of Malaysian birth/marriage certificates) should be in English or French.
4.
After submission of your completed application and documents, the HCC will notify you by email if additional documents or an interview is required.
5.
You will be required undergo a medical examination if you have returned to Malaysia more than 6 months ago.
6.
Students choosing to study in the province of Quebec, will be required to apply for the 'Certificat d' Acceptation du Quebec' (CAQ) before applying for the Study Permit.
