探討公元四至十世紀歐洲、亞洲與非洲之中古世紀全球社會歷史，視為一個「實驗時代」──政治、文化與宗教的分裂、轉型與多樣化。學生將閱讀大量譯文中古世紀來源文本。（Field a）。
